I met one of my friends over an evening walk a day before, and was asked to share my views of WHY & WHETHER SHOULD HIS KID CONTINUE HIS PLANS FOR HIGHER STUDIES IN USA.
I thought of putting the same on my blog for today...
While geopolitical tensions can present challenges, US universities are proactive in mitigating their impact on international students.
For reference, In response to geopolitical disruptions, some institutions, like Harvard Kennedy School, have explored flexible options such as remote learning with global in-person sessions or study-away programs in other accessible countries, ensuring academic continuity.
Universities know it well, International students contribute significantly to the US economy, which incentivizes policymakers to maintain a welcoming environment. The US higher education system recognizes the value of international students in fostering global understanding and diplomatic ties, which can lead to continued efforts to attract and support them. And so the current scenario is just a short wave and will pass-on quickly.
Now to answer the next thought in our mind -
Why USA for higher studies?
The USA is renowned for its world-class universities and academic excellence. Many American universities consistently rank among the top globally, They are well ahead of us in -
Cutting-edge research facilities
Diverse programs and fields of study
Renowned faculty
Flexible education system
Attractive Post Graduate Work Permit (OPT) Options
Despite geopolitical turbulence, Indian students and consultants find compelling reasons to pursue higher education in the USA. The benefits often outweigh the perceived risks due to the unique advantages offered by the American education system and the proactive measures taken by universities to support international students.
